2025 MotorSport New Zealand Video Content of the Year

Entry Form

The Video Content of the Year Award is open to video content from any media outlet that meets our criteria (see below).

The award recognises video content about any motorsport event, competition licence holder (past or present) or aspect of motorsport under the jurisdiction of MotorSport New Zealand.

An eligible entry may comprise of either one piece of individual video content, or in the case where multiple pieces of video content are related, such as a series, multiple relating videos. If submitting a series of videos, 75% of the series must cover an aspect of motorsport under the jurisdiction of MotorSport New Zealand.

Entries will be accepted in digital format. They must have been broadcast via web, social media or television about events that occurred and/or have been published between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025.

Entries will also be accepted that have been published on social media pages, provided you attached proof that the entry has received over 1,500 views or is published on a page with more than 5,000 'likes' or 'followers'

In the case of entering video content that covers an event in a "live broadcast" style which is 3+ hours in length, we recommend submitting a shortened 'showreel' style clip or one specific segment of the broadcast such as one race (plus build up & post show).

Entries
Entries should include:
- PDF or Word document containing any relevant information
- Video files, with proof of broadcast.
- Each item submitted should be named in the following format: Subject_Event_Location_DateOfBroadcast_Broadcaster
- For ease of administration, portfolios should be bundled into .zip folders where possible.
- Entries be submitted via Dropbox, Google Drive, Sharefile or any other file sharing service. MotorSport New Zealand can assist if required.
Please note:
- Entries may be displayed/broadcast at the MotorSport Zealand Conference and Awards Evening.
- MotorSport New Zealand reserves the right to republish submitted entries in its own publications and/or website.
- MotorSport New Zealand reserves the right to submit entries on behalf of an entrant if they feel they should be considered for an award.
All entries will be judged on the following criteria:
1. Impact (style and use of language, originality and fluency, engaging and creative narrative)
2. Quality of the production (clear, accessible, tight, creative use of visuals and sound)
3. Fairness and balance (capturing multiple viewpoints, quality and depth of research, factual accuracy)
4. Insight (clear understanding and balanced presentation of a topic, may provide an opinion)
5. Relevance (fit for audience)
