1. Scope of Engagement

a. As an Individual Partner Collector, you are responsible for 

Recovery

• Fulfill all recycling pickup requests within your designated area that is assigned to you via the ecobarter app.
  

• Planning the routes and coordinating the door-step recycling pickups or drop-offs
  

• Documenting of user waste diversion via the Ecobarter App at the point of collection
  

• Deliver all recovered recyclables to the appropriate ecobarter hub
  

Communication & Conduct

• Effectively communicate with Ecobarter users to ensure high retention rates
  

• Be properly Kitted, wearing an Ecobarter Branded T-shirt, Reflective Jacket
  

• Advertising the Ecobarter platform to people around your designated area
  

Where a vehicle, tricycle or any other mode of transportation is provided for you under a related, but separate agreement, your scope of engagement shall include those stated below;

Maintenance

• Conduct a visual examination of the exterior and interior of the vehicle at the beginning and end of everyday's duty to ensure no damage has been sustained
  

• Ensure all relevant registration documents are up to date and readily available in the vehicle at all times.
  

• Report all damage or defects to the logistics manager/engineer
  

b. Your individual partner collector tool kit to be provided by ecobarter will include

• 1 large jumbo sacks for material storage
  

• 50kg weighing scale
  

• 2 reflective jackets
  

c. You are expected to have

• 3gb RAM, Android 10 and above smartphone
  

• A mode of transportation if you are offering a pickup option. Bicycle, tricycle, car, truck etc
  

• A 30ft space to store recyclables up to 200kg before requesting pickup from ecobarter
  

You are expected to maintain all these tools and resources for timely delivery.

2. Performance Metrics

a) As a partner collector, your performance will primarily be measured based on the; 

• Percent of assigned requests fulfilled
  

• Customer Satisfaction and driver's professionalism
  

• Efficient Vehicle Utilization
  

You are required to maintain 

• 99.9% fulfillment rate weekly
  

• 99.9% customer satisfaction weekly
  

• 90% uptime weekly
  

As a partner Collector, you shall pick up from assigned users on scheduled days and ensure drop-off location is readily available. If the need to take a break for causes beyond your control, immediate notice should be sent to the Recovery and Logistics Manager and a replacement should be identified to relieve you of your duties.

3. Operations Management & Reporting

Partner Collector shall have direct communication and report to Ecobarter’s Recovery and Logistics Manager on a weekly basis.

• Pickup request shall be assigned and accessed via the Ecobarter’s collector App
  

• All assigned pickup requests must be fulfilled
  

• All recovered recyclable wastes shall be properly bagged and transported to the ecobarter main operations yard or stored at the closes the community hub without littering environs
  

• All fulfilled doorstep pickups shall be recorded via the Ecobarter collector app instantly
  

• Community members with bulk recyclable who demand outright payment shall be handed over to the closest ecobarter affiliate vendor and/or the recovery and logistics manager
  

• Partner collector shall fill incidence report after every day’s work 
  

4. Compensation 

As an individual partner Collector, your performance is based on the number of successfully completed pickup requests. Each fulfilled pick-up earns you N300. Disbursement to you is due every Monday of the new week. Where more than 10 pickups are fulfilled in a day an extra N200 commission is accrued for every pickup fulfilled after the initial 10.

Other compensation include;

• Access to capacity development training
  

• Access to pay-day deductible loans not more than 3 times monthly remuneration
  

• Access to micro health insurance
  

• Opportunity to grow within the Ecobarter workforce 
  

• Public recognition 
  

5. Indemnity 

a. The individual partner Collector

• accepts responsibility for all damages, liabilities, or any loss arising from reckless driving or driving under the influence of drugs. 
  

• accepts responsibility for arrests by federal/state/ or local government authorities for driving without a license, failure to carry a renewed license or any other offense resulting from the collectors negligence
  

• agrees to be charged/fined by Ecobarter for downtime arises from such negligence
  

b. Ecobarter shall

• accept responsibility for injuries/accidents incurred while on duty that has not resulted from the last-mile collectors negligence or other related faults
  

• accepts responsibility for arrests and fines that has not resulted from the last-mile collector negligence or other related faults
  

6. Termination 

Grounds for immediate termination of engagement by Ecobarter shall include but not limited to;

• Selling of recyclables sourced during committed working hour to any third-party other than Ecobarter
  

• Failure to meet monthly target in 3 consecutive weeks 
  

• Failing to fulfill doorstep pickups assigned to you more than once in a week
  

• Absenteeism from work more than twice a month without prior notice
  

• Driving under the influence of hard drugs or Alcohol
  

• If deductions for lesser punitive measures is made more than once a month
  

Other punitive measures;

• No-show at work without prior notice will attract a 1,000 NGN daily and outright termination of contract if this occurs more than two-times a month
  

• Insubordination, and any other action deemed harmful to the Ecobarter operations, brand and/or user
  

Where a collector terminates this contract without adequate notice as stated above, he/she forfeits any compensation due.
